I always give people the advice to apply essential oils under the bottoms of their feet. Many times I get the same reaction “how is applying them under my feet is going to help?”. The general consensus is that you need to apply oils where you need them, and many people do not know what happens when you apply essential oils under your feet. Here are the 4 reasons why you should absolutely try it.
Essential oils act faster and more efficiently. The soles of our feet have much larger pores than the rest of our body. That means they absorb the health-giving compounds in essential oils much faster than anywhere else in the body.
The skin on the bottom of your feet is less sensitive. This means that people who might experience irritation when they apply certain oils to other parts of the body often don’t have any issues when they apply the same oils under the feet.
Foot soles don’t contain sebaceous glands. Sebum acts as a barrier so in other parts of your body it can stop the essential oils you want to absorb into your body. The absence of sebum in the soles of your feet means they are the perfect place to apply essential oils.
Reflexology. Certain areas of the feet correspond with the body’s organs. This, by applying essential oils to the bottoms of your feet, it’s possible that these oils may have a stronger, more beneficial effect on certain areas of the body
