Spring is here!
It seems like spring is on its way in part of the country and we are about to make the jump into this wonderful season and warmer weather! Spring is a great time of year, flowers are starting to bloom, trees are budding, holidays are coming up and most of us feel motivated to do some spring cleaning. I have some great recommendations for essential oils to use during springtime and Easter!
Clary Sage wards off and clears out bad energy, absolutely perfect to diffuse when you get spring cleaning started!
Lemon is an absolute must-have for spring. Not only is it a fantastic oil to clean with, but it also makes your house smell delicious and clean. Put 20 drops of lemon in a glass 16 oz spray bottle and clean all your surfaces with it. I use this in my kitchen all the time and it’s wonderful for cleaning ovens and microwaves as well. You can use the same mix as an air freshener, great to spray around right before visitors walk in for Easter brunch!
Grapefruit is an amazing oil to detoxify your home. Put 5 drops in the diffuser and be amazed how this oil will purify the air in your home. I actually spray a mix if 10 drops of grapefruit with water in a 16 oz glass spray bottle and spray it in my air vents and on my air filters.
Lavender is a great fresh scent to remind your guests of springtime and happiness. Put a few drops in your diffuser during Easter and enjoy the calming scent of spring in your home.
Ylang Ylang is a sweet and delicious oil that reduces anxious feelings and promotes happiness and feelings of love and friendship. This is a wonderful oil to diffuse when you have guests over. Since Ylang Ylang is a very powerful scent, one or two drops in the diffuser will be plenty.
Orange is an oil that promotes energy and feelings of happiness. I often combine 3 drops of Orange with 1 drop of Lemongrass for an invigorating and energizing diffuser blend. It will make your home smell fresh and clean.
