There has been a lot of controversy about the internal use of essential oils. It is completely safe when done properly! Essential oils are very powerful so 1-2 drops in an entire bottle of water are enough. I recommend shaking the bottle before you drink because the oil normally floats on top (oil and water do not mix), but when you shake it before you drink it you will break up the oils. Internal use of essential oils in water allows the oils to get to the stomach instead of being absorbed in the blood. This allows the oils to start acting better and faster!
